I came across this article from 2006, written by producer Craig Elimeliah…. His breakdown on art versus design couldn’t be more insightful. I live in Atlanta. I drive state highway 400 every morning, and every evening. 400 has a toll plaza. They offer cruise cards for access to their cruise lanes. These cruise lanes bypass the stop-and-go plaza lines.
And because I don’t really have the itch to organize my life by years, it doesn’t hold a ton of significance. I like to think of life as more like a book with chapters. You go through years being told what grade your in, what you’re needing to absorb from teachers this period, this semester, this quarter, etc. Once school was over, I lost a familar sense of linear progression.
I just picked up another tee at TeeFury.com and the featured artist today has such a fun style. She’s got kind of this “retro” class of illustration and her character design is too clever. Check it out! GUMBOLIMBO
